Hello! I'm Sage Xaxua Morgan-Hubbard. I want to work with you on creative events and projects for joy and justice. I have a B.A. in Performance Studies: Socially Conscious Art of the Everyday and Ethnic Studies from Brown University & my M.A. + PhD coursework and Gender Studies Certificate in Performance Studies from Northwestern University. I love ideas and people of all sorts coming together. I have years of experience in diversity, access, inclusion, and equity training, organizing, and initiatives. I am a leader in museum education, public programming, community arts & higher education partnerships, and collaborations. I've worked at the National Museum of African American History and Culture, the National Museum of American History, the National Postal Museum, the Field Museum, Columbia College Chicago, and at the American Alliance of Museums. I am an expert in Pedagogy and Theater of the Oppressed techniques, performance/ slam poetry and visual culture. I love the relationship between text and image and have written about the performance of artist books with the viewer/reader. I have over 15 years of teaching artist experience at all levels from PreK through senior citizens and  I have taught in schools, jails, and organizations around the world. I am a founder of WORD! Performance Poets and Activists and one of the original members of Sol y Soul, Spoken Resistance, and the DC youth poetry slam team.
